Students can choose the most fitting capstone course, with options for current practitioners and distance learners. Students should plan their major or minor in consultation with an advisor.

First-time freshmen are admitted based on a scale that considers class rank, GPA, and test scores. As such, there are no on-campus requirements. Transfer applicants with fewer earned credits must also meet freshmen admission guidelines -- including core curriculum requirements. Transfer students must complete a 45-minute online orientation before registering for classes.

Safety: Almost every job in the criminal justice field involves an element of danger. Online students access their course materials through Moodle and enjoy access to the Student Help Desk. While the university offers rolling admissions, students are encouraged to apply by the priority deadlines, which differ for transfer and first-time freshmen applicants. The majority of graduates use the degree to begin their career in law enforcement, criminal law, corrections, or social work.

Students with previous college credit can apply up to 90 transfer credits towards their degree at Regis, and students should apply early to receive their free transfer evaluation and work directly with an advisor. These courses will teach you the best and most effective ways to protect yourself and your coworkers, as well as teach you how to respond to emergency situations.  As a full-time student, this could save you an estimated $800-2,000 per year on textbooks!

Most classes do not require students to visit the Natchitoches campus, though online students may need to arrange for a test proctor for some midterm or final exams. Transfer students can also request an unofficial transfer evaluation if they are not quite ready to apply. While other colleges are increasing their tuition, we’ve frozen tuition rates for our undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs for the past three years  ̶  and counting. Our regular business hours are Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm PST, but we do our best to respond as quickly as possible.

Highlights of Our Online Criminal Justice Degree Program By earning your online Criminal Justice degree from a non-profit university whose online programs ranked in the top five of more than 2,100 online colleges and universities for academic quality, affordability, and accessibility, you will be set apart from others in your field. While many other online colleges have raised tuition, Liberty has been able to keep costs low as a non-profit university. However, the salary for graduates with a bachelor’s in criminal justice will vary by their chosen career path. Major components of the internship are civic responsibility, writing, and ethics. Students must have a 2.3 GPA to apply for their internship. Librarians also accept questions by email or text. Among unusual criminal justice courses offered at UAB are serial killers in cross-national settings, white collar and corporate crime, and investigation of fires and explosions.

This program is intended for those who are balancing school with a full-time job and have limited availability. Tuition is charged per credit and students can apply for financial aid including scholarships, loans, and grants.

As the table reveals, employees with a bachelor’s in criminal justice outearn those with an associate degree by roughly 19% at the entry-level mark and 28.5% at the mid-career mark. The curriculum is designed to prepare graduates for positions in the field of criminal justice in local, county, state and federal justice agencies, private security organizations, and related fields; and to prepare students for graduate work in criminal justice or related disciplines. With no specific specialization, you can mix and match, creating a personalized degree program that fits your passion.

The 120-credit online criminal justice bachelor's degree includes 42 major-specific credits. To continue our mission of providing affordable education, beginning fall 2018, electronic textbooks will be provided for all undergraduate courses at no cost to you. Depending on the job you take, you'll get training specific to your role in the way of safety.

Liberty University’s Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice- General, 100% online program, is designed to provide you with the backbone of an excellent criminal justice program with the flexibility and freedom to select a large number of electives. The Watson Library provides access to its online databases, ebooks, periodicals, and reference materials. Online students have access to an academic advisor, the career center, a virtual computer lab, the reading-writing center, and the Academic Center for Excellence.

A Bachelor in Criminal Justice degree prepares students for a wide range of criminal justice careers in the private sector, as well as with federal, state, and local government agencies. Transfer students with at least 24 credits and a 2.0 GPA are eligible for admission. Tech support, tutoring, and academic advising help students have the best chance of success in their studies. Freshmen applicants are required to submit their high school transcripts, standardized test scores, a personal essay, and a letter of recommendation. The major requirements include eight required classes, four electives, a statistics requirement, and the capstone, which also involves an internship. However, freshmen and transfer students below stated minimums can apply through alternative admission options. Tuition for our Criminal Justice degree programs has not increased in three straight years.
