 Accreditation and recognitions provide the assurance we meet standards for quality of faculty, curriculum, learner services, and fiscal stability. Adult students, those over the age of 25, should follow the freshman requirements or the transfer requirements depending on whether they have a year or more of college credits to transfer.

This fully online criminal justice degree helps students develop a strong understanding of the psychology behind criminal behavior and teaches them key conflict resolution skills that are needed to succeed in many criminal justice careers. We also removed any programs not reporting their graduation or retention rate. This resulted in a final set of 107 programs.

Liberty University (LU), a private, nonprofit Christian university, has more than 15,000 students enrolled in traditional on-campus programs, while another 90,000-plus take courses through LU Online. While this helps develop technical and communication skills that are highly valued by employers, fully online learning might not be the best fit for those who learn best with face-to-face interaction and hands-on demonstration. Most online colleges for criminal justice have both stamps of approval. Transfer students with less than a full year of college must meet the freshmen requirements and submit official college transcripts. Students can choose from a wide variety of degree programs. Graduates are prepared to pursue careers as federal agents, police officers, private investigators, and juvenile specialists.

Tarleton, part of the Texas A&M university system, offers a bachelor's of science in criminal justice that is taught by professors who work in the law enforcement field. The university has approximately 31,000 students.

Liberty University’s Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice- General, 100% online program, is designed to provide you with the backbone of an excellent criminal justice program with the flexibility and freedom to select a large number of electives. Since criminal justice does not require hands on training (unlike, for example, programs in the medical field), we felt this would still leave us with high-quality programs. In general, these schools are very expensive but fail to score adequately on indicators of quality such as graduation rates. Students who do not yet meet ASU admission requirements can find tools to improve grade point average, or even try college on for size without the application by going to getready.asu.edu. Concordia's regionally accredited criminal justice program online program provides a deep understanding of the administration and organization of criminal justice, and of constitutional law. Filtering the data set: We decided to remove for-profit schools from consideration. However, if you need the flexibility of an online program as well as some hands-on experience, a hybrid online degree can be a fitting alternative.

Improving your admissibility to ASUWe want to help you thrive. Additionally, while online courses offer a variety of ways to interact with your professors and peers, this interaction will take place either mostly or entirely in a virtual environment — meaning you also must have a personal computer with up-to-date hardware and software, as well as reliable internet access. The two usually work together to ensure a ubiquitous set of checks and balances, and the duo also sets standards that regional accreditation organizations, such as the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, must meet in order to maintain their authority. The program prepares students for careers as private investigators, CIA agents, and forensic crime analysts, among others.

The University of Oklahoma (UO), a large public research university founded in 1890, provides a variety of degree program options, including 152 baccalaureate, 160 master, and 75 doctorate programs. With no specific specialization, you can mix and match, creating a personalized degree program that fits your passion.

Applicants who do not have college transfer credits should fill out an application, submit official high school transcripts, and submit SAT or ACT scores. We only wanted to review programs where you can complete your degree — in its entirety —  fully online. Incoming students who hold an associate degree typically satisfy the university’s general education requirement.

Upon the completion of required courses, a final portfolio presentation course offers students the opportunity to display their new skills and knowledge. This blend of real-world experience and textbook education provides students with a well-rounded foundation that prepares them to begin their career or pursue graduate study after graduation.
